Our Response To COVID-19 (Coronavirus)

The Coronavirus outbreak has impacted us all in ways we probably never imagined. Our hearts and thoughts go out to you and your family during this uncertain time.

The entire team at Dental Excellence at FishHawk wants you to know that your safety and well-being are at the heart of everything we do.

If You Need Emergency Care…

Even though we have temporarily paused non-essential dental services, our dentists and team are here providing care for emergencies or other dental health concerns that you may have. Please give our office a call if you need an appointment or assistance 813-571-5555.

If You Have An Upcoming Appointment…

We are looking forward to seeing you for your essential or emergency appointment, however, we are implementing Coronavirus screening questions to ensure your safety as well as that of our team.

If ANY of the following applies to you, we are asking you to reschedule your upcoming appointment to a later date:

  • If you have had Coronavirus exposure in the past 14 days.
  • If you or anyone in your immediate household have traveled to China, South Korea, Iran, Europe, the United Kingdom or Ireland in the past 14 days.
  • If you have current cold or flu-like symptoms, respiratory illness, or fever (at or over 100.4).

Otherwise, we ask that you please follow any instructions you receive from us via phone call or text when confirming your appointment.

We will resume regular dental visits as soon as it is safe and prudent to do so. When we have more clarity on our scheduling, we will be in touch to reschedule.

How We’re Fighting The Spread of Coronavirus…

As healthcare professionals, we already have in place protocols for inhibiting the spread of infectious disease including use of facemasks, eye protection, gloves, instrument sterilization, and disinfection of chairs, trays and other surfaces in our treatment rooms.

In addition, we are extending sanitization practices to common areas by removing unnecessary items and using medical-grade disinfectant to wipe down our reception area, patient bathroom, door handles and other high-touchpoint items throughout the day.

This situation is fluid and our protocols may change according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines at the time.
